Five healthy and original breakfasts

The busy routines of day to day do not always allow us to dedicate the time to breakfast that we would like, and take advantage of it to make it as complete as possible in order to have energy from first thing in the morning >. Many have a quick coffee for breakfast without even sitting in the chair, or do not start the day with their family around the table. But these days when we must be at home, we have the opportunity to enjoy a more leisurely breakfast. And this includes the smallest of the house . That is why it is a good time to prepare an elaborate breakfast, or an easy dish but different from what we usually have in the morning. I propose five original breakfasts, both sweet and salty, complete and very healthy.

Waffles with oatmeal

Waffles and pancakes are the quintessential kings of breakfast for those with a sweet tooth and especially for children. In addition, we can accompany them with nuts and fruit, or with a delicious cream or butter. The ideal is to make them gluten free and low in carbohydrates, with a coconut or oat flour . The eggs provide the necessary proteins, and if we put yogurt, better if it is Greek, they will be very juicy. I love them with peanut butter and cinnamon. This healthy waffle recipe will win over the whole family, and allows you to add any seasonal fruit to the top. Now is a great time for strawberries.

For those who do not have a waffle maker, the same ingredients are used in making pancakes. These chocolate oatmeal pancakes are perfect for all those who usually eat oatmeal for breakfast, and want to consume it in a different and much more attractive way. We recommend them to those who do sports in the morning, since they contain vegan chocolate protein , bananas and eggs, as well as oatmeal powder. They are a real contribution of energy.

Although many do not know this cave, açaí is one of my favorite options, and it is never missing from my shopping list. It is a fruit of Brazilian origin , full of antioxidants, proteins, fats and fiber that make it a wonderful option for the most athletes. This delicious bowl is very easy to prepare, accompanied by yogurt, your favorite granola and the fruit of your choice. A good combination is that of banana, blueberries and chia seeds. Another way to consume açaí is in a smoothie, so we would use frozen fruit in pieces. If you like to drink milk in the morning, prepare a bowl of coconut or almond milk with granola and fruit in five minutes.

Avocado omelette

We know that there are two types of people: those who jump on the sweet side at the all-you-can-eat buffet in a hotel, and those who do the same on the salty side. The omelette is quick and allows many combinations, for example, this one with avocado. It can be accompanied by Iberian ham and wild asparagus , or some mushrooms. Cook the egg as you like, more or less done. And if you prefer, make the omelette only with the egg and use the rest of the ingredients as a salad with a good dressing.

Another option is to make a very creamy omelette with cheese. Choose the type of cheese according to the intensity of flavor you prefer. I like it with mozzarella cheese , and with a touch of fried tomato that gives it freshness and a different color. With a little truffle on top, we will have an authentic gourmet breakfast.

Egg and bacon Cups

Another good option if you choose a salty breakfast is to consume the egg without beating. To make these cups you only need the mold for the muffins or muffins so that they take the shape we want. The yolk is very juicy, and the edges are golden and crisp, like if it were a puff pastry . If you add smoked bacon, it gives it a very peculiar touch. The pomegranate on top provides freshness and all the antioxidant benefits of this fruit.

Another option is to prepare poached eggs . It is easier than it seems, you just have to be careful when cracking the egg over the boiling water so that the yolk does not break. If you can, then put them on top of a bed of spinach with some seeds or a little truffle on top. Any other vegetables you have around the house, like cabbage, kale, or broccoli, will also work great.

Finally, one of my favorite options: smoothies. They are made with any fruit previously frozen, and accompanied by milk or yogurt. This e smoothie is a bit more original since it contains a cream of dried fruits. I have chosen the peanut, but it supports cashew or hazelnut cream . To give it a color similar to that of a chocolate shake, cocoa powder is added. And use this trick: put a little ginger and black pepper.
